This release delivers core platform improvements to security and performance, including reporting upgrades, alongside user-facing enhancements to account management and PRWORA compliance.
✨ Feature Highlight: PRWORA Eligibility Fields in LACES
To support alignment with the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act (PRWORA), LACES recently added new fields and document categories to help programs determine and record student eligibility for federal funds. These updates are stored within the Demographics and Documents panels, and include built-in conditional validation so follow-up fields appear only when relevant.
Availability
PRWORA Fields and document options are visible only in states that have opted in to PRWORA reporting. States may choose to enable all or only some of the new fields. If you would like to opt in, please contact LACES Support.
New Fields in LACES
The following fields and updates are available for states to opt into at their discretion:
Student Intake / Demographics (Demographics tab)
Citizenship or Immigration Status
Immigration Category – required if Citizenship or Immigration Status is Other or Unsure
Immigration Category, Other – required if Immigration Category is Other or Unsure
This student has provided consent for eligibility verification using approved documentation? (Yes/No)
Student Import
Fields are available to import only if enabled on Student Intake.
Student Grid
Fields can be added in a custom view, but are not included automatically.
Identification Panel (Demographics tab)
New identification types (e.g., USCIS/Alien Registration number, I-94 number, SEVIS ID, Naturalization Certificate number).
Documents Panel (Student Data tab)
Expanded categories and document types aligned with citizenship/immigration status (e.g., U.S. Birth Certificate, Green Card, I-94 with refugee/asylee status, T Visa approval).
Note: The Student Portal will include these questions in a future release. Currently, these updates apply only to LACES.

Automatic Inactivation of New Accounts (LA-20452) For improved security, new user accounts are now automatically disabled if not activated within 120 days.
